**Te Tūranga - The Role**:
Our Compliance Team is wanting to check what discharges into the environment in some Industrial areas and we need your help

You will be joining a friendly, highly motivated team who enjoy making a difference for their community by working to protect our environment. The Compliance team operate with a strong ‘can do’ approach and pride themselves on collaborating with stakeholders and organisations throughout our region.

We are keen for you to join us to assist with auditing industrial sites in our region. We’ll be asking you to check on what is discharged into our environment from sites in Tauranga and Rotorua. Additionally, our drinking water team want your help with our responsibilities under the Water Services Act.

An audit involves a site walkover with a representative of the site looking at what is discharged into the air, land, or water. We’ll give you the technology to do this easily while on site and when you return to the office you’ll upload the information into our database.

**Ngā Pūkenga, ngā wheako - Your Skills & Experience**:

- We are looking for someone with an inquisitive mind who asks lots of questions and wants to understand how things work.
- You’ll need an eye for detail, be able to spot errors in records and data and be keen to follow up on what you find.
- If you are working toward an environmental qualification, that’s a bonus. It is not a deal breaker.
- Hold a current driver's licence.

This position will be located in Tauranga.
