We're looking for a superstar to be our Health and Safety Representative (HSR) Coordinator. Bring your expertise, knowledge and skills to make a difference in the way we approach our mahi to better meet patient, whānau and stakeholder needs.

Te Toka Tumai has many Health and Safety Reps (HSRs) that operate in services that span the entire organisation across our hospital and satellite community-based sites.
In this role your primary focus will be to guide, support, and coordinate activities and tasks to increase and sustain our engagement with HSRs as they undertake a valued and important role in keeping our workplaces health and safe. This role will see you juggling a variety of activities and tasks such as:
Producing and coordinating communications, information, and reporting
Managing HSR meetings, events and communications channels
Producing statistical and other reporting for a variety of groups and meetings
Working with HSRs, the Health Safety Management team across services
Identifying, coordinating, scheduling, and booking HSR training for staff
Coordinating and supporting effective HSR elections processes every 3 years
You'll be proactive, motivated, and flexible with the ability to pre-empt the needs of others and juggle multiple priorities with ease. You'll be calm and professional with great time management skills, and comfortable managing a variety of different tasks and responsibilities. Given the importance of this role, we are seeking someone with:
Confidence, competency and lots of initiative
Great relationship building skills
Previous experience providing administrative support to a team
Previous exposure to Health and Safety and associated legislation
A strong understanding of the role, functions and support needs of an HSR
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Teams
A background in the health sector and previous experience in training coordination and administration and working in health and safety would be a distinct advantage.
