**Mō te tūranga | About the role
- Responsible for assisting with P&C activities, across Health & Safety and Learning & Development, but with a primary focus on HR.
- Take ownership for the processes that underpin recruitment process including advertising, responding to queries, generating offers, pre-employment screening, and supporting induction.
- Update and maintain data for the HR Information System (HRIS) to keep decision makers informed.
- Support employee lifecycle events, including the annual remuneration process, induction events, and exit procedures. You will also run the summer student programme each year.
- Triage and respond to general queries from staff, create staff letters, complete invoicing for the team, support P&C to achieve organisational priorities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

- Able to maintain quality customer service focus throughout periods of high demand.
- Have a high level of attention to detail, ensuring our HR data is carefully maintained.
- Our organisation is very diverse in its functions. You will enjoy understanding and partnering with staff in areas such as Biodiversity, Environmental Planning, Science, Maritime, Accounting, IT, and Public Transport.

**Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience**
- Either ~5 years of relevant experience or an HR Qualification.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proven ability to plan and organise demanding work schedules.
- Able to deal with sensitive and confidential issues.

**Mō te tīma | About the team**
- You will report to the Senior HR Business Partner who will support and work closely with you.
- This role is a key part of the HR team which also encompasses Learning & Development.
- In this role, you will work closely with many other people across our organisation, including Payroll, IT, Executive Assistants, and Business Support. You will support team leaders, managers, and directors with people matters.
