**The Role**

We’re growing, and with new client project work on the go, we’re now looking for an Auckland-based
**Test Automation Practice Lead** to provide expertise and direction in modern testing software and test automation best practices. This important role will be assisting with the establishment of a test community at ClearPoint.

The greater part of this role is within service delivery, but you’ll also be providing leadership on consulting engagements requiring advice on test automation tooling and best practices.

**So what are we looking for?**
- Excellent clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- A good background of experience guiding teams along a test automation journey
- Strong knowledge and experience with modern testing frameworks like cucumber js, playwright, jest, postman
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript to a level required for automation
- Strong experience with test automation of microservices and test automation of web front-ends
- A strong understanding of testing practices like test pyramid testing strategy, design and implementation
- Strong experience guiding teams along a test automation journey
- Strong experience advocating for automation
- Experience with creating or setting up test COP (Community of Practice)
- Support the development and growth of people within the practice
- Good knowledge of architecture and design principles for modern web and cloud architectures
- A background of working with Agile development and methodologies
- An enthusiastic and proactive problem solver with a can-do attitude :)
