**Position Information**:
**About the role**
Located on Auckland’s North Shore and reporting to the Software Manager - Cloud Services, you will hold responsibility for the overall team, including being across the design and build of software solutions. You will also:

- Lead and motivate a team of great developers, creating a productive environment whilst building strong relationships
- Working with your peers in Product and your team, assist in the development roadmaps and plans which effectively and efficiently deliver business outcomes
- Work with other teams within Invenco to improve and align delivery across the company
- Helping recruit and retain engineers to create a talent dense, high performing engineering team
- Inspiring, motivating and coaching to enable the continuous development of individuals within your team
- Support each member of your team to identify, grow and develop engineering capabilities and overall personal development, working with them to understand career growth opportunities
- Participate in Software development, testing, release and quality review

**About you**
- Experience of managing software delivery and/or other teams using Agile techniques
- Over the course of your career, you will have worked with people and technology, and developed a passion for both
- Strong people management skills and 3+ years of experience managing a team/ line management and motivate them to achieve goals and deadlines
- A deep understanding of JS and React
- Experience working in a cloud (Ideally AWS) environment.
- Experience as a Senior Node.JS Developer with advanced knowledge and experience in the following: JavaScript, - Node.js using Restify, - RESTful APIs, - PostgreSQL and Asynchronous programming techniques, Code versioning and revision systems such as GitHub
- Writing secure code that complies with appropriate standards and regulations
- Knowledge around PostgreSQL for data, or other relational databases
- Experience working within a Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment environments.
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience at a senior level.
