**He kōrero mōu: The opportunity**

We are searching for a Communications Advisor to help share the story of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s businesses and people with the world.

As our new communications star, you will work closely with the Communications Manager Investment and Industry, the communications and marketing whānau, Investment and Industry rōpū (business group) and wider organisation to create compelling communications.

You’ll be part of our close-knit communications team, working in an environment where no two days are the same. If you are looking for a varied role within a dynamic and supportive environment and the chance to deliver for Aucklanders, we’d love to hear from you.

**Key responsibilities**
- Developing, delivering and managing communications to tell the story Auckland’s businesses and people
- Working with internal and external stakeholders including mana whenua, industry, NGOs, and local and central government agencies
- Handling proactive and reactive media engagement
- Working with the extended Tātaki Auckland Unlimited communications, marketing, brand and digital teams to support Investment and Industry rōpū activity
- Collaborating with Tātaki Auckland Unlimited’s wider rōpū to ensure Investment and Industry messaging supports the wider organisational mission

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

With at least four to five years’ generalist communications experience, you are ready for the next challenge.

You love Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, you’re a natural storyteller, an excellent writer, can work at pace, and are passionate about the making a difference for our region.

You’re a plain English pro who encourages and champions the use of Te Reo Māori and has a high level of cultural sensitivity and awareness.

You’re enthusiastic, able to identify opportunities for improved communications solutions and happy to share your creative ideas to communicate with diverse stakeholders via a range of channels.

You can keep composed under pressure and think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.

We are a collaborative team and with lots of exciting projects on the go, we’re looking for someone experienced who can integrate quickly and join us in harnessing Auckland’s potential for a better future.
