Ko wai mātou | Our Organisation
We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children's Hospital, located in central Auckland.
We are part of Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand's national health service. Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, natural content creator - written and digital. There will be lots of variety in the role.
In this role you will help manage our channels as well as creating engaging written and video content.
You will have the opportunity to gather and share some great stories about our awesome team. As well as work with project teams to help our people know about new initiatives and change.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
As a Communications Advisor you will support the Communication Team in the delivery of communication to ensure our organisation vision, values, objectives and our offer to the public are understood by our patients, whānau, communities and employees. The key focus of the role is to provide communication expertise and effective communication activities to support organisation strategy and initiatives.
We are looking for good communications all-rounder who is seeking an opportunity to work in a complex but interesting environment. Ideally with lots of experience and ideas working in internal communication.

**To ensure your success in this role we are looking for**:
- Experience having worked in a communications role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Strong ability to write creatively and concisely for a range of channels
- Up-to-date knowledge of a broad range of internal and community communication practices, tools and techniques including digital
- A track record of building and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships
- A focus on improvement and innovation
- A collaborative approach to work and a great team player
- Digitally savvy
- Resilient with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Creative and action-orientated
- Knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi
