Downer holds a long-term Asset Management and Facilities Management contract with the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice. This involves the proactive management and delivery to the national portfolio of facilities including 15 prisons, 100 courts and 157 community correctional sites. This contract underpins the provision of availability of facilities to support core Government services.

**About the role**:
We are currently seeking a Senior Property Manager to join our team, working on the Ministry of Justice portfolio for the Lower North Island & South Island. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring on time and quality jobs delivery to our customer and delivering on the required financial outcomes of the Contract. The role can be based in either Wellington or Christchurch.

You will be a passionate, technically skilled Property Manager with a talent for collaborative working and proven Facilities Management experience. You will have strong people leaderships skills, highly developed problem-solving skills and a natural ability to build genuine and lasting relationships with all.

In addition, you will also have:

- Experience within the Facilities Management industry managing high profile and critical function facilities in a leadership role
- Proven financial skills and an ability to both manage costs and drive improved productivity
- An understanding of KPI driven delivery environments and how to manage them
- A Champion of Health and Safety
- Experience in building a high performing team
- Experience in improving productivity and the utilisation of internal resources
- An ability to support your team with solid technical solutions
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and leadership skills
