Kōwhiringa /The Opportunity
The Manager, Community Enablement reports to the Director Enabling Transformation and is responsible for establishing a systems level connector function that builds and supports regional, iwi and community-based platforms for the implementation of Te Aorerekura.
A proven people leader with experience working collaboratively with iwi and communities, you will strengthen our approach and use of knowledge and insights to embed a learning system in partnership with iwi and community leaders, so we are effectively enabling the implementation of Te Aorerekura in place.
You will also be responsible for leading the partnering and nurturing of the engagement strategy and approaches to support the delivery of effective solutions and support to the communities we serve.
He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience
- Lead and developed high performing and high functioning teams in a medium to large organisation.
- Experience with social sector issues, ideally in relation to family violence and sexual violence.
- Ability to translate strategic ability to translate strategic direction into operational outcomes.
- A good understanding of central government processes, and experience working constructively and collaboratively across government.
- Proven relationship management skills demonstrated by the establishment and maintenance of a range of effective business/operational management inter-relationships across business units and/or a network of professionals, managers, and external parties.

Te Puna Aonui is a small unit, with a big role. Established as an Interdepartmental Executive Board (IEB) our mandate is to ensure there is clear, joint accountability across government for work relating to the elimination of family violence and sexual violence.
As the centre of expertise that stewards the Family Violence and Sexual Violence System and the system strategy Te Aorerekura, we work in partnership with the communities we serve and always hold survivors, family, and whānau at the centre of everything we do.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $143,662 and $201,170 based on skills and experience.
