**What you will be doing | Ngā whāinga matua**
You will be working alongside our scientists and wider team to carry out a wide range of activities in relation to the harvest and maintenance of pea plants and plots in the field. You will be pulling plants by hand and contributing to the retrieval of seeds to be packaged for a European client.
**What you will bring | Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako**
- Experience working outdoors and assisting with harvests would be of benefit.
- An organised and methodical approach to experimental protocols, task completion and record keeping.
- A reasonable level of fitness is required. Some work will need to be carried out in hot, as well as cold, wet conditions.
- A desire and interest in working in and contributing to a team.
- Effective communication, both verbal and written.
- An ability to form and maintain good working relationships with a diverse range of people, both internally and externally.
- A natural problem solver, solutions focused and quick to grasp and adopt new ideas.
- Disciplined work habits.
- Full New Zealand drivers licence would be an advantage.
- A commitment to health and safety, both personally and as a team member.
