Are you a natural connector with a passion for helping ākonga (students) find their path and a flair for delivering memorable events? Wintec is looking for 2x Engagement and Events Specialist to join our energetic Marketing and Engagement team.

This is an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity that blends student recruitment, event delivery and community engagement. You’ll be at the forefront of our efforts to attract future ākonga, nurture key relationships, and bring our brand to life through dynamic, on-the-ground activity.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $60,000 and $70,000, dependent on skills and experience.

The Engagement and Event Specialist is based in Wintec | Te Pūkenga and will be responsible for:

- Represent Wintec at secondary schools, careers expos, and community events—connecting with future ākonga and showcasing the exciting study opportunities available.
- Build and maintain relationships with key influencers including careers advisors, school leaders, whānau and community organisations.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver a range of events, including open days, campus tours, school visits, expos, and onboarding activities.
- Support institution-wide events such as graduation, staff functions, and corporate engagements.
- Champion the Wintec brand and ensure all activity is consistent, engaging, and reflects who we are.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain strong product knowledge and provide expert support across marketing, recruitment and engagement.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- An outgoing, confident personality and has an interest in education and youth development.
- Experience presenting to a wide range of audiences.
- The ability to juggle multiple tasks, stay calm under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
- A full NZ driver’s license.
- Experience in the education sector, event delivery, or a qualification in Business, Marketing or a related field will be a bonus.
