Right now, we’re looking for enthusiastic people who have an interest in causal administration work in a health care setting. The role is part of the administration team and is instrumental in supporting Te Whatu Ora - South Canterbury with quality professional administrative and receptionist services across all areas of the organisation.
The administration team work collaboratively in a multi-tasked, faced paced hospital setting alongside a broad group of healthcare professionals and support patients and their families/whanau when accessing the health system.
The work is across a variety of departments including Front of Hospital/ Emergency, Outpatients, Inpatients Booking Office and the Inpatient Wards. The hours and days of work vary depending on the area and are typically, 8-hour shifts, covering 24 hours a day.
Expressions of interest are welcomed from people who are empathetic, can manage a range of varying administrative tasks and are able to work respectfully with a range of patients and their families/whanau.
