**About the Role**

Palmerston North Mental Health and Addictions service are looking for a motivated Social Worker who has a keen interest in supporting whaiora who present in crisis.

Your role would be to work with the clinicians within the Crisis Resolution Service (CRS) providing a social work lens inputting both directly through assessments, and through team discussions to enhance the outcome for whaiora that are assessed.

Your role would include networking with the whanau, supporting whaiora to engage with community resources and building relationships with key stakeholders such as the Emergency Department staff, Police and the Mental Health Inpatient Unit.

**About you**

Ideally you will have 5 years of experience working in a mental health setting where you have been able to develop assessment skills to undertake both mental health and risk assessments.

You would be expected to either be a Duly Authorised Officer under the Mental Health Act, or willing to work towards being authorised.
