As the Director, Health Equity you will form part of the senior leadership team for Service Improvement and Innovation directorate. Your main purpose will be providing equity leadership and advice to Service Improvement and Innovation leaders and Te Whatu Ora Executive Leadership Team and Board via the National Director for Service Improvement and Innovation. Your role and associated programme of work will be co
- governed in partnership with Te Aka Whai Ora. Specifically you will scale up the Māori pipeline programmes and develop a similar pipeline in partnership with the Pacific Directorate.
This is a full time, permanent role based anywhere in Aotearoa.

Mōu | About you
You will have experience in developing programmes of work to focused on improving health outcomes for Māori and Pacific peoples. You will have a track record of working on equity related programmes with an ability to input and give advice at an executive leadership level on equity related frameworks.
You will be familiar working at an executive leadership level within a clinical or health management environment.

**You will have**:

- Track record of developing evidence-based interventions to address Māori and Pacific health inequities
- An understanding on equity frameworks as they relate to health
- The ability to build constructive relationship across networks of health communities and providers
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn and grow
- Proven ability to lead strategic discussions about the operating model and future strategy for Service Improvement and Innovation.
