**Mō mātou - About Us**
Te Wai Māori was established to advance Māori rights and interests in freshwater fisheries. We are committed to protecting Māori rights and interests in freshwater fisheries and undertake a wide range of mahi relating to indigenous species and their habitat seeking to ensure quality water and healthy and abundant freshwater taonga.
**Ngā tino Pūkenga/Wheako - Skills/experiences for the role**
We are seeking talented tangata with passion and drive. You’ll bring skills and expertise that include:
- Experience working on contestable funding rounds
- Demonstrated contract management and procurement experience.
- Previous involvement in projects and a desire to increase your skills in project management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to sort out what’s needed for travel, accommodation, and hui.
- Ability to kōrero te reo is great, more important is you’ll have a good understanding of tikanga and be comfortable engaging and working with Māori organisations and iwi.
**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi - About the role**
Reporting to the Wai Puna (Manager) as the Fund Administrator you’ll thrive on variety and your can-do attitude will be key to your success. If you have a strong interest or qualification in procurement or purchasing and supply management or project management this role will level up your skillset.
In this role you’ll be be supporting the administration of the Trust’s freshwater funds which support iwi, hapū, and whānau to fulfil their aspirations for freshwater fisheries in their rohe. Your expertise in coordinating will be well utilised as you will be key to helping plan and arrange conferences held by the Trust. With your excellent administration skills, you’ll be adept at scheduling hui and providing support for management.
Salary range offered is $78,000 - $96,000 with the midpoint of $92,000 (pro rata for part-time)
