- Are you working towards or have recently completed a tertiary qualification in planning, resource management, law, political science or a related field?
- We’re looking for people with:

- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Eye for detail - high degree of accuracy when undertaking tasks
- High level of computer skills including Microsoft products
- Strategic and tactical thinking skills
- Success at building relationships and resolving issues with internal and external stakeholders
- Preferably, some previous local government knowledge or experience.
- The aim of this role is to support the Strategic and Spatial Planning Team and Policy Implementation team with:

- Responding to policy and planning enquiries
- A plan change process, including: summarising submissions, entering submissions into eplan, identifying topic areas, providing background research for s42 reports, hearing arrangements, assisting at any information sessions
- Helping with general tasks to support policy advisors in the Policy Implementation and Strategic & Spatial Planning teams.
