Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Teaching Technology Specialist on a permanent, full-time basis. This pivotal role is at the forefront of supporting our educational environments, driving the management, development, and maintenance of innovative educational technologies. As a Teaching Technology Specialist, you will play a key part in ensuring our University remains a leader in providing an inspiring and technologically advanced educational experience.
**Key responsibilities**:

- Deliver timely and appropriate solutions to AV and IT-related requests, faults, incidents, and problems in accordance with ITS standards, policies, and procedures
- Maintain audiovisual systems and all other educational technologies in teaching, learning, meeting, and collaboration spaces
- Set up, deliver, and collect AV-IT hardware to support teaching or business outcomes
- Provide specialist technical support in videoconference and multimedia services
- Assist with media production to support teaching and learning experiences
- Preventative monitoring, maintenance, and repair of AV-IT hardware and software
- Maintain accurate records in relevant service management tools
- Provide training and support to staff in the use of audiovisual recording and production technologies

- Knowledge and experience in the AV industry
- Understanding of the design and operation of complex AV-IT systems in a presentation room environment
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks
- Proven experience in customer support roles within the AV-IT industry
- Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical people.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Windows and Mac systems and how they interface with audio-visual systems
- A relevant tertiary qualification or three years' experience in a related support role
- A full, clean driver's licence
