**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

Developing our analytics capability is key to Auckland Transport's (AT) strategy to move to an Insights Driven Organisation. We want to leverage and have confidence in our information to provide insights and empower decision makers. We are looking for a Team Leader to lead, motivate and empower our Analytics team.

In this key role, you'll lead, motivate and empower the Analytics team, establishing and embedding agile work in a way that builds a strong, constructive culture that is consistent across all teams and delivery squads.

You will act as a point of escalation for team members and assist team to formulate and develop project specific needs as they relate to reporting & analytics and its capability.

You will be an authentic and empowering people leader, skilled at leading teams, both with direct staff and indirect project teams, for purposes of delivery and development You will have proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of business intelligence and self-service reporting strategies ideally using Power BI. Highly analytical, with evaluative and problem-solving abilities, you will have experience of leading or working with data teams in complex organisations.

You will have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas in a customer centric and user-friendly language, and using your strong leadership and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
