**About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga**

This is a permanent, fulltime role, working in the Change Team within Sector Change and Implementation. This role works closely with the Principal Advisor Change, and Manager, Change to raise the visibility and effectiveness of Change across the organisation.

In this role, you’ll partner with business groups and the Change Team to understand what’s happening across the government’s priority work programme - particularly what it means for our frontline teams and wider sector. With visibility across a broad range of initiatives, you’ll help bring a change lens to support planning and delivery.

We do this by listening first, then offering practical and realistic change advice, tools, templates, and support that reflect each team’s unique context and level of readiness.

You’ll bring:

- Experience in Change Management or relevant, transferrable skills
- A pragmatic approach to Change - focused on what’s needed to support people well
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to adapt as needed
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

**About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake**

The Sector Change and Implementation Group supports Te Tāhuhu (Ministry of Education) to successfully implement government initiatives, services and policies that impact the Education sector, our frontline takiwā (regional) staff and ākonga and whānau. We partner with our takiwā colleagues to understand local context and priorities, and to support their leadership of successful change in the sector.

The Change Team supports Te Tāhuhu, our group, and our regional teams with best practice change approaches. We assess impact of sector-facing change and make sure takiwā have what they need to understand, lead, and support change in their communities.
