Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
The Communications and Engagement group leads and supports all Ministry communications and engagement and all associated processes and channels.
The Senior Advisor, Internal Communications, Change leads the development and delivery of quality strategic change communications and engagement advice to support the Ministry's Transformation Office in building an integrated change view across the Ministry.
They work collaboratively with Transformation Office team members, the Communications and Engagement group, and other internal stakeholders to engage and inspire our people and support Manatū Hauora to work towards pae ora.
**In this role, you will**:
- Lead the effective implementation of key pieces of strategic change communication activities
- Champion best practice change communication principles throughout all communication deliverables and overall project plans
- Ensure a structured and measurable communications approach is applied as we transition individuals, teams and the organisation from current through to future state
- Be an experienced Senior Advisor who is able to cover for the Internal Communications Manager role as required.
Ko ngā pukenga ōu - What You'll Bring
- Experience at a senior advisor level in change communications/change projects across Government
- A base understanding of change management principles or project methodology (e.g. working in an Agile environment, familiarity with sprints or similar ways of working)
- Tertiary qualification in communications or a relevant field and/or equivalent experience and significant monitoring and/or central government experience
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated across a variety of channels, with the ability to tailor complex messages to a range of audiences.
- Understanding of and commitment to improving equity of outcomes and Māori health
