Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Manger of Conversion and Compliance with a passion and enthusiasm for international education and furthering opportunities for the University and Wellington.

The Manager Conversion and Compliance is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to the Conversion and Compliance team, as well as working closely with the International Student Experience team to provide expert immigration advice and guidance to students.

The role manages the Conversion and Compliance team which facilitates the last stage of the international recruitment funnel, implementing a range of conversion activities that encourage and support international applicants with university admission to enrol to Te Herenga Waka and work across the University to eliminate barriers to international students’ enrolment. The team also provides a specialist enquiry management function.

The Manager Conversion and Compliance is also responsible for managing all aspects of the University’s participation in the United States Federal Student Aid (William D. Ford Direct Loans) programme and the management of other international loan schemes, including US Veteran Affair’s Loans and Private US Loans.

You will strive to achieve targets with innovation and utilising the resources available to you.

You will have an eye for detail, be technologically savvy and have a solid background in the analysis and interpretation of data and reporting on results.

You’ll also be a licensed Immigration Adviser, or you’ll hold a provisional immigration licence, or you’ll have applied for an initial provisional licence.
