Based in Onehunga, our passionate and motivated Auckland team have newly created opportunity for an Inventory Manager to join our high performing team. In this dynamic and fast paced role, you will showcase your proactive eye for detail, identifying opportunities to enhance our processes and solve problems as they arise. Exceptional communication skills, problem solving and being self-motivated will come naturally to you, along with a desire to learn, grow with the business and develop your career.
Reporting to the General Manager - Warehouse, Wholesale and Manufacturing, this is a national role, and you will be accountable for all inventory related activities. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, you will develop and manage the inventory planning process to maximise efficiency and exceed customer expectations. This will include using your knowledge to develop, implement and monitor stock purchasing, storage and distribution strategies, policies, and plans.
As this is a newly created position, we are looking for someone with strong leadership skills who can swiftly take charge and lead their team to ensure things get done quickly and efficiently, whilst maintaining a safe work environment.
Key aspects include managing materials planning and purchasing; monitoring and reviewing warehouse storage; overseeing the operating of the inventory system; tracking and reporting on movement of supplies and finished goods, as well as collaborating with external vendors and 3PLs.
To succeed in this role, we’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in a similar role
- Team leadership and staff management experience
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Commercially astute with experience optimising revenue and minimising costs
- Experience implementing and managing inventory management systems and procedures
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to analyse large data sets and identify insights
- Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Excel and numerical skills
- Data analysis and reporting skills (SLOB, trends, stock, repositioning, minimisation, waste)
- Strong computer skills (experience using Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred, but not essential)
- A customer-centric attitude and a collaborative approach to resolving and implementing initiatives
- Commitment to health and safety
