Your new role

The Inventory Assistant will carry out daily digital stock take/cycle counts and ensure stock is placed in the correct locations, entered into the MRP system, and packaged and distributed outwards from the site. You will support and report to the Inventory Controller. You duties will cover:

- Accurately record movements of parts both physically and in the MRP system to ensure records and

locations are available for efficient reporting functionality by several internal departments (such as Finance,

Procurement and Production).
- Monitoring and making sure the parts consumption into Production is efficient and documented.
- Support the Inventory Controllers’ standard processes for inwards and outwards goods movement and

storage.
- Receive inwards goods into the stores with correct count, labelling, location, and digital footprints.
- Maintain communications with the Purchasing department regarding inwards goods discrepancies and any

damage
- Assist in ensuring quality control of inwards goods, checking that specifications are correct and identifying

any damage.
- Assist in ensuring quality control of outwards goods, checking parts, quantities, and labelling are correct

and that packaging is adequate.

What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to build professional relationships
- Work well and remain calm under pressure in a busy environment
- Tech savvy (with an ability to read and understand engineering drawings being advantageous)
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Target driven and self motivated
- Experience in a similar Stores position within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of MRP system and import/export of goods is advantageous
