At Everest Café Featherston, we’re passionate about quality coffee, great food, and creating a welcoming space for our community. We’re currently looking for a reliable and experienced barista to join our team and take on a key role in the day-to-day operations of the café.

**About The Role**:
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is confident in both front-of-house service and behind-the-counter responsibilities. You’ll be involved in all aspects of café operations —from making exceptional coffee to managing stock and closing up at the end of the day.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages.
- Open the café and set up for daily service.
- Greet and serve customers with friendly, efficient service.
- Prepare and present cabinet food and menu items.
- Take and serve orders for food and beverages.
- Conduct regular stock checks and manage stock rotation.
- Place orders for stock and supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all areas, including back, kitchen, and dining spaces.
- Assist with end-of-day cleaning and closing procedures

**What We're Looking For**:

- Minimum 2 year of experience as a barista in a busy café environment.
- Confident with coffee equipment, milk steaming, and latte art.
- Great communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and a team player.
- Comfortable with opening and closing duties.
- Experience with stock management and ordering is a bonus.

**Availability Requirements**
- Must be available for early morning starts.
- Flexibility to work late-night finishes on some days (Thursday and Friday mall nights).
- Weekend availability preferred
