The Operations Coordinator and Music Director will work with the KICK team to create industry leading radio shows and podcasts for a 16-24 year old audience, including planning all the day-to-day output and agenda of talent and guests.

We’re looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented and organised programmer with a strong background in music directing to assist in programming the music stream, connecting with the music industry and providing mentorship to the team. This role will also programme the Retail Radio offering for NZME’s commercial partners.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:

- Work collaboratively with the Head of Digital Audio, iHeartRadio Content Director and the Kick team deliver the KICK. strategy.
- Curation, scheduling, loading, and transmitting of weekly Kick music logs.
- Manage and decide KICK playlist in consultation with the Music.
- Oversee the curation of the weekly KICK. Music Show.
- Manage all technical aspects of production with the Kick Audio Producer and Podcast Host.
- Work collaboratively with the Head Of Digital Audio and the iHeartRadio Content Director to curate the retail radio products and schedule, load and transmit weekly logs for commercial partners.
- You’ll know what makes compelling and interesting listen and strive to push the boundaries of digital audio and how we deliver these products.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Strong communication skills and a proven track record in music programming for commercial radio.
- A full contact book of the important people in the NZ music industry.
- Our team will rely on your ability to work across a wide range of styles and types of projects, as well as the ability to work in harmony with many different teams to meet tight deadlines.
- The ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure is key.
- At least 3+ years working professionally in a radio production environment.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external teams in a calm and concise manner.
- Impeccable attention to detail, especially in naming systems and file organization.
- Expert time management skills. You calmly and effectively prioritize short-term and long-term projects.
- An ability and desire to coach and help other members deliver on a set content strategy.
