We’re L’affare. The coffee business. Ever since 1990. We were born out of a love for espresso, in Wellington at our café and HQ. 33 years later, we’re still there on College Street. Our people make us who we are today. We’re a mixed bunch of creative, industrious, adventurous humans, all with a great love for serving NZ the freshest and best coffee possible.

**About the role**:
Our Café Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the front of house operation to ensure our customers have an exceptional L’affare experience. Duties include customer service, managing inventory and supplies, operation of our dedicated retail space in the café, implementing marketing strategies, and leading a dedicated and passionate team. in. You’ll work closely with our Head Chef to ensure a positive and supportive work environment for our College Street team.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to work with not only the café team, but our superstar technicians, coffee roasters and baristas, who are passionate about delivering exceptional coffee experiences to our customers. You'll be joining a team that values creativity, innovation, and has a commitment to quality and excellence.

**About you**:
We're looking for someone with loads of energy and a strong background in coffee and hospitality. Someone who will lead by example and motivate our team to provide the outstanding service to our customers. 2 years plus experience as a Café Manager or Supervisor will mean you have the skills to deliver, and a proven track record in leading a great team. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to thrive under pressure.

This opportunity requires some weekend hours as we operate 7 days, and is a full-time position based at our L’affare café on College Street, Wellington Central.
