**About You / The Role**

Due to a growing forward workload, we are looking for a Foreman to join our Southern Region team. Your usual place of work will be Wellington. You may be required to work from the business’ head office other reasonable locations within New Zealand including Whanganui-Manawatu, Nelson Tasman, Marlborough, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago and Southland regions and/or your home, as required and directed by the business.

You will be a key leader of health and safety on the site and you will lead by “walking your talk” when it comes to safety. You will have proven site management experience working within a similar team environment and have experience of deep excavation works. You will have a good understanding of critical path and management on site.

**Principal responsibilities and skills include**:

- Experience working in civil construction, ideally at least 5 years (essential)
- Proven Health and Safety Experience and hold Site Safe Supervisors level
- Demonstrating sound knowledge of stormwater, water reticulation and sewage construction systems
- Experience of pumping, dewatering and trench shoring techniques
- Understanding of drainage specifications and industry best practice
- Providing leadership, fostering relationships and managing people
- Project Management planning and organisation and weekly tasking
- Motivating the team to achieve programme objectives
