**Role Description**

Our team are currently looking for Foremen to join us in the delivery of diverse civil infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Supervisor or Project Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the effective control and completion of onsite project works.

You will run your ground crew and manage: construction activities, delegation, inspection, planning and quality control. To be suitable for this role you will have to show proven experience as a site Foremen within the infrastructure industry with the ability to deliver quality work while promoting a strong Health and Safety culture.

**Responsibilities**
- Establish strong rapport and functional working relationships with your crew members and all sub-contractors
- Provide close on-ground supervision, coaching and training of site staff
- Allocate staff tasks based on skills, experience and capability, and address any specific competency issues through training or re-deployment to other tasks
- Monitor sub-contractor activities to ensure time and quality targets are achieved
- Liaise closely with Site Supervisor, Site Engineer and Project Manager, working collaboratively and co-operatively to ensure an efficient and harmonious project environment
- Provide recommended solutions to Site Supervisor, Site Engineer for current or potential challenges
- Lead and hold staff accountable to a maintaining a high standard of site presentation and organisation at their workfaces
- Contribute to daily set-up crew meetings to ensure construction tasks and activities are communicated and understood
- Take responsibility for achieving your production targets, getting on the ground or operating machinery when the task or programme demands it
- Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
- Develop formal 1 week 'Look Ahead' programme and participate/ develop 3 week 'Look Ahead' programme providing update input for tracking as required
- Carry out daily productivity reviews with the team and providing next day work schedule
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate and available to achieve program
- Ensure all materials required to complete program are available before task starts
- Eliminate unproductive resources and staff scheduling
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans as provided by management
- Collate ideas from crew and contractors, produce and implement JSA, review JSA daily, report any issues to the Supervisor and work to create cohesive and improving work environment
- Promote and manage the company’s quality, safety and environmental policies and procedures on site ensuring that acceptable working methods and practices are implemented
- Monitor expenditure and ensure delivery remains within budget.

**Required Attributes**
- 3+ years proven experience as a construction Foreman
- Trade qualified
- Demonstrated ability to use benchmarks and offsets / controls to construct permanent works
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and health and safety guidelines
- Ability to read drawings, plans and Inspection Test Plans
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Licence to operate heavy plant equipment - endorsements / licences
- Able to manage 1-10 direct reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Capable financial acumen relating to site/project budget
