Senior Data Architect

We are looking for a **Senior Data Architect** for one of our clients in Auckland, New Zealand.

**Short Description**:
Data Solution Architect will be responsible for the design of the enterprise-wide data architecture and supporting the development of our Telco Client's functional data strategy and roadmaps. You will be responsible for first, determining and classifying which data assets should be treated as enterprise data, and then crafting the requirements, principles, designs and models that strengthen the effect of sharing such data across the enterprise.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the Data & Growth along with IT Architecture team to form a cohesive approach to data management and business intelligence strategies and roadmaps(Must have).
- Design strategic data and integration platforms and interfaces to support the delivery of strategic data services(Must have).
- Delivering world class data capability which enables the business to realize value through consistent, accurate, reliable, and high-quality data and innovative data, reporting and analytical solutions(Must have).
- Reinvent real time data automation, continues integration and deployment in the regulated environment by embedding right control points in our key Agile processes to achieve strong compliance and balanced velocity; while reducing friction between data governance, information architecture and data engineering teams(Must have).
- Development and delivery of big data solutions to enable a step change of insight into the high volumes of data across the global business functions.
- Leading changes to data capabilities that anticipate changes to the business’ strategic direction using the full capabilities in the data and analytics.
- Responsible for the development of the requirements, principles, models and designs for the future-state enterprise data and analytics architecture.
- Carry-out a gap analysis between the future-state and current-state data architectures, and work with other enterprise architects to develop roadmaps for the careful and planned transition to the future state.
- Evaluate emerging trends such as big data, open data and linked data, and determine the impacts on the future-state enterprise data architecture.
- Champion efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities, such as master data management, metadata management, business intelligence, content management, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components.
- Coordinate the implementation of enterprise data architecture through the organisation's enterprise data management programmes and govern data architects in the appropriate data-modelling and data design activities.
- Facilitate the development of a corporate data policy that outlines the appropriate data stewardship and data requirements, as well as the service-level agreements, to support the appropriate quality and use of information in business processes. C2 General.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Degree level educated or equivalent project-related experience.
- In-depth experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide cloud data and analytics platforms(Must have).
- Hands-on architecture and delivery experience in large scale, multi-functional data management solutions(Must have).
- Hands-on experience architecting and implementing large scale multi field master data management, data lake, business intelligence, data warehouse, and data quality solutions are a must have(Must have).
- Good to have telecom domain knowledge(Must have).
- Good to have experience in AWS, Azure and GCP(Must have).
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Confluent Cloud, DBT would be added advantage(Must have).
