We recognise that one of the keys to our success is founded in the insight we can gain from our data as we digitalise our processes and experiences, and this role is all about accelerating this capability.

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect to work with us in leading and driving architectural excellence for our data team, creating simple, flexible, secure, and sustainable data solutions which drive our business towards realising our strategy. In this role you will be the lead data architect across the entire enterprise data domain and will help your business stakeholders in defining and realising their enterprise data ambitions through a shared view of their strategy, current state, evolutionary states, and the roadmaps that support this.

You will report into the Principal Architect of Data, and you will be working closely with your key counterparts in technology and business teams to enable you to direct your team to working on the right things at the right time. Within the broader architecture community, you will be helping to drive process improvement across the group to further accelerate our team goals.

**Ko tō mahi - what you’ll do**:

- Owning the overall architecture for the data domain, defining current and future states, and influencing the roadmap for change
- Assuring solutions in your area to get the best balance between our core principles, strategic alignment and implementation that drive the best result for Vodafone
- Develop the enterprise data road-map with your key stakeholders
- Ensure we are creating a sustainable architecture through documenting architecture, decisions, rationales and contributing to our model repository to further enable the broader team
- Work closely with the Data and Analytics and architecture team to form a cohesive approach to data management and business intelligence strategies and roadmaps
Coordinate the implementation of enterprise data architecture through the organisation's enterprise data management programmes and govern data architects in the appropriate data-modelling and data design activities.
- Responsible for the development of the requirements, principles, models and designs for the future-state enterprise data and analytics architecture
- Champion efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities, such as master data management, metadata management, business intelligence, content management, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components.
- Carry-out a gap analysis between the future-state and current-state data architectures, and work with other enterprise architects to develop roadmaps for the careful and planned transition to the future state.
- Evaluate emerging trends such as big data, open data and linked data, and determine the impacts on the future-state enterprise data architecture.
- Delivering world class data capability which enables the business to realise value through consistent, accurate, reliable, and high-quality data and innovative data, reporting and analytical solutions
- Development and delivery of big data solutions to enable a step change of insight into the high volumes of data across the global business functions
