**The Opportunity**

Our Timaru branch currently has an opening for an Account Executive to join the team. This is a varied role where you will provide support to our commercial clients, as well as managing a small portfolio of domestic business. As a key point-of-contact for the Timaru branch, you will engage with a broad range of people. This is a fantastic opportunity for an insurance professional looking to develop their existing broking skills or an experienced administrator looking to move into the broking / insurance sector. We would value a person that is looking to grow, and has drive to move up in the branch and business as we grow.

**You would be responsible for**:

- Supporting the relationship management of an existing client base
- Supporting the growth of existing clients and new business
- Working closely with account managers on client quotes and renewals
- Managing the insurance claims process for clients
- Negotiation of policy terms and conditions with insurers, ensuring positive outcomes for clients
- Monitoring outstanding premiums and assisting with their collection
- Supporting ad-hoc branch duties alongside the wider team.

**About you**

You could have a background in Administration & Customer Service with a passion for putting the customer first and going the extra mile. Prior experience in Insurance or Financial Services and Level 5 certification would be helpful, but not essential as development and support will be provided, enabling you to continue down a successful career path with Aon.

- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and self-driven, with a high degree of initiative
- Ability to deliver high standards of customer service
- A great team player with the ability to get along with a wide variety of people
- Knowledge of the insurance/broking industry is desirable
- Resilience and be able to handle frequent change
- Flexibility to travel for client meeting on occasion within our region
