**The opportunity**

We have an exciting opening for a Structural Technician to join the asset management team within our Civil Structures team. As an integral part of our nationwide civil structures team, you’ll perform a key role in the delivery of our asset management services in the Whangarei and Auckland region.

Everyday will be different presenting new challenges, overall, you will be responsible for:

- Inspecting and reporting on the condition of highway structures from bridges to retaining walls and everything in between
- Planning and organising an inspection programme of structures based on existing contracts
- Providing recommendations on the repair/rehabilitation methodology for remedial works
- Inspecting completed remedial work as part of a quality assurance process
- Supporting the development of forward works programmes
- Assisting in contract management

You will have experience working with structures on the road network and/or have a relevant qualification. Preferably, you will also have a good understanding of how to work in a safe manner around live traffic.
