Reactive Outage Coordinator

Full-time

Engagement type: Permanent - Employee

Department: Operations and Maintenance

**Energise your career**

If you like the idea of working in an industry that makes a fundamental difference to the lives of people in your community, then perhaps you should think about a role at Vector.

So much of what we take for granted in our everyday lives is enabled by the work that Vector is doing to ensure our infrastructure is fit for purpose for a rapidly changing future.

Across our networks we are transforming the way that Auckland's critical infrastructure is delivered through high-tech data-led solutions and customer first thinking. It's a dynamic, energising place to work because what you do here matters to everyone.

**About the role**

As Reactive Outage Coordinator, you will work closely with Electricity Operations Controllers, Field Service Providers, Customer Excellence and Operation Planners to manage the efficient coordination of the outage process and coordination of reactive work.

This will include capturing information on electricity network outages, and ensuring consistent outage information is communicated to customers through the appropriate channels. There’s also the opportunity for you to identify and implement improvements to enhance the outage experience for customers and the wider Vector business.

**Who we are looking for**

This is a technical role, and we envisage you’ll have the following:

- A solid grounding in network distribution; an engineering qualification is advantageous
- A sound understanding of energy systems, infrastructure and maintenance practices. ADMS/SCADA experience is a bonus
- The ability to make well-reasoned, data-informed decisions, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- An eye for process improvement.

**What we can offer you**

Whether it’s the opportunity to work on challenges on a truly global scale, or to build a legacy for Auckland and New Zealand through your work; or perhaps to continue your career growth in an innovative and transformative sector, or our commitment to supporting your development, there’s a myriad of reasons to choose a career with Vector.

Find out more about working with us here.

We also offer:

- A fun, flexible and stimulating work environment, full of interesting work being done by smart and innovative people
- Flexibility, including the choice of working from home a couple of days a week, and flexible start and finish times so you can balance work and life
- Health and wellbeing support
- Great benefits that reflect the importance of family

**Apply**
