Maintenance Coordinator - Property

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and organised Maintenance Coordinator to join the Property Team within the Facilities Services Group at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand (Waitematā region). The role will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activity for offices, community healthcare and dental sites throughout northern and western Auckland, and support the wider management of the organisation's property portfolio. To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Experience working within a property, facilities, maintenance or construction management team at an operational or administrative level
- Experience dealing with contractors and managing their performance.
- A working understanding of commercial buildings, building services and their maintenance needs.
- Contract interpretation skills
- Working knowledge/awareness of key legislation and regulations affecting the facilities management sector
- IT literacy, with an ability and willingness to learn new systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, be able to build rapport and positive working relationships internally and externally
- Adaptability, with a willingness to pitch in and help others, sometimes outside of your core role
- A desire to problem solve and deliver solutions collaboratively.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- High attention to detail, be accurate and organised
- Be comfortable working remotely and across multiple locations as needed
