Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
An exciting new opportunity exists to join our team in a full time position leading the Theatre nursing and HCA team as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Theatre Floor Coordinator. Due to the complexity of our workload, we are looking for a Theatre Floor Coordinator to join our existing team. As a Theatre Floor Coordinator, you will be responsible for efficiently coordinating the flow of the acute trauma workload as well as having an overview of the entire elective service. You will be assigning the correct skill mix of staff to Theatres every day and taking immediate actions to situations that arise. This role also involves the development of the expertise of others in the operating theatre environment.

Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service
Our main theatre department is comprised of 24 theatres in which broad ranges of surgical specialties perform procedures, inclusive of paediatrics. In addition, we are responsible for the Delivery Suite theatre where emergent/acute procedures occur.
The department responds to acute/emergent demand over 7 days/week, 24 hours/day. On average approximately 100 surgeries are performed each day - a combination acute (time critical) and elective (planned) work.

Have a minimum of 5 years theatre nursing experience,

Experience working in an acute theatre environment,

Have proven experience successfully leading a team,

Possess excellent communication skills,

Be proactive and seeks opportunities to take action,
*
Hold a current Annual Practising Certificate.
