You will be working within a large dynamic Renal Service and be responsible for coordinating dialysis access to Renal patients for Te Manawa Taki. You will be working with new patients who are coming onto the Dialysis programme and coordinating surveillance and interventions for current dialysis patients.

The Regional Renal Service provides acute and chronic Renal services for Waikato, Lakes, Bay of Plenty and Tairawhiti. This includes all aspects of renal care including Hospital based dialysis, Home therapies for both Haemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis, Chronic Kidney Disease and Renal Transplantation. We are the second largest Renal service in New Zealand.

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate

*
Attained Expert/Senior Nurse level on the PDRP

*
Demonstrated understanding of dialysis vascular access

*
Minimum of 5 years Renal Nursing (preferably in Peritoneal and Haemodialysis)

*
Current drivers licence

*
Knowledge of the Renal service

*
Understanding of pre and post surgical pathways

*
Post graduate qualification

*
Demonstrates the ability to be a team player and be able to work across multiple teams

Enthusiastic and hardworking

Adaptable and flexible

Ability to work autonomously

*
Ability to multi-task in an ever changing environment
