The SAE Auckland campus offers Diplomas and Degrees in **Audio Production**, **Music Production, Songwriting** and **Screen Production**. SAE Auckland is accredited as an NZQA Degree-granting institution. In our most recent NZQA External Evaluation and Review (EER) SAE Auckland was awarded a Category 1 rating.
**ABOUT THE ROLES**
Are you passionate about student success, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and fostering a positive learning environment? SAE Auckland is seeking to fill three new distinct **Student Success Advisor** roles within our institute.
**Roles**:
**Role 1. Māori and Pacific Student Success Advisor - 8 hours per week**
Working within the Student Success team, the Māori and Pacific Student Success Advisor provides advice, advocacy and mentoring to assist Māori and Pacific students with their academic, personal and cultural needs. This includes helping to provide a learning environment that is welcoming and valuing of students from Māori or Pacific background, as well as actively contributing to the development and implement of an institutional strategy to enhance Māori and Pacific student success.
The person we are seeking should ideally:
- Be connected to Māori or Pacific communities
- Have experience with supporting students, ideally within a tertiary environment
- Experience of the music, audio or screen sector would be advantageous
**Role 2. DEI-focused Student Support Advisor - 8 hours per week**
Working within the Student Success team, this Student Success Advisor focuses on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), supporting initiatives that enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus, with a particular focus on student support. This includes collaborating with the student experience, academic and operational teams to develop practices that help students from marginalised and underrepresented populations feel welcomed, connected, and supported at SAE Auckland, as well as connecting SAE Auckland with community agencies that focus on DEI.
The person we are seeking should ideally:
- Be empathetic to and knowledgeable about DEI concerns
- Have experience supporting students, ideally within a tertiary environment
- Experience of the music, audio or screen industry would be advantageous
**Role 3. Learning Success Advisor - 4 hours per week**
Collaborating closely with the Student Success Team, the Learning Success Advisor provides comprehensive learning support to aid students in their progression towards achieving optimal educational outcomes. The role primarily focuses on enhancing literacy and numeracy skills, academic writing skills and honing study skills. This position may be externally contracted and called upon as required rather than working set weekly hours.
The person we are seeking should ideally:
- Have experience with developing literacy, numeracy and general study skills for students, ideally within the tertiary environment
- Experience of the music, audio or screen industry would be advantageous but not essential
