The Design and Implementation team is part of the wider Strategy, Planning and Performance (SPP) directorate and is accountable for the development and implementation of health system and service strategies.
We are leading a significant programme to change the way we commission and deliver primary and community services. This includes establishing Locality Health and Wellbeing Networks across our two districts and driving new models of care for specialist services.

**The Senior Design and Implementation Lead is responsible for**:

- Leading a strategic priority work-streams programme focused on developing new services and community networks across the region.
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships to enable new structures and models of care to be established.
- Report on progress to senior leaders and to external groups.
- Work collaboratively across the system and across both Wellington/Hutt Hospitals. You will work closely with the General Manager to plan, develop, improve, maintain and deliver quality programme and project management processes within the work programmes.

We are looking for an individual with a mix of the following skills and experience:

- Understanding of and a commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Experience of managing service integration and development in a District or other health organisation
- Knowledge of key stakeholders in health services and their expectations for service improvements into the future
- Whakawhangnatanga and an ability to build strong and lasting relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of successfully presenting to or facilitating for small and large groups
- Successful experience negotiating and influencing
