**About the Role**

The **Commercial Manager** provides commercial expertise and subcontracts, procurement and supply chain advice to Babcock New Zealand.

You will partner with the business to provide support to business development and operational activities to ensure the commercial interests of the company are optimised whilst ensuring contractual obligations and associated commercial risks are effectively managed.

This role will report to the Head of Commercial, Subcontracts and Trade Controls in Australia and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Provide commercial and subcontracts support to the Babcock New Zealand business units and advice to procurement, supply chain and trade controls, ensuring compliance with business operating policies, processes, procedures and framework.
- Ensure legal requirements are met to support all activities in relation to the development and execution of the business plan.****:

- Either lead or contribute to the successful phase in of newly awarded contracts, including ensuring that all members of the newly formed team have a robust understanding of the tendered solution and the contracted obligations.
- Identify, manage and advise on commercial, procurement, trade controls and corporate governance matters in a manner that optimises value to the company whilst protecting its assets and corporate reputation.
- Provide oversight, guidance and leadership in all commercial and contract matters throughout project lifecycles to ensure commercial governance is followed.
