**Our Client**

**The Roles**
Located in Balclutha and reporting to the Strategic Planning Manager, we are seeking two Senior Policy Advisors to fill **two vacancies** within the team, one is a **Permanent** Advisor role, the second is a 6 months’ **Fixed Term** Advisor role.

We are looking for those with the knowledge, experience and right attitude to be the critical policy link between the Council, elected members, community and other stakeholders. In this role you will assist with the development and implementation of Council’s strategic and corporate planning framework and Local Government Act 2002 processes and requirements. These roles contribute to quality research and analysis activities in support of strategy and policy development, providing quality policy advice and guidance to Clutha District Council elected members and staff.

**Your Skills and Experience**
You will have a relevant tertiary qualification, with policy and local government experience, excellent research, analytical and reporting skills. You will demonstrate knowledge of the Local Government Act, able to monitor regulative changes, with a solid understanding of Long Term Planning, Annual Planning, policies and bylaws, as they relate to Council issues. You will be a confident communicator, able to build reciprocal relationships and to provide advice and guidance to others for decision making purposes.
