Product master data is used across the Mitre 10 business, including in our network of over 80 stores throughout New Zealand, our catalogues, print advertising and on-line channels, and our Merchandise Services team has a position available which calls for an Excel and data extraordinaire to join the team as a **Master Data Specialist.** This full-time **permanent role **is based at our modern Albany (North Shore) Support Centre and reports into the Master Data Manager.

**About the role**

As Mitre 10's Specialist, you will be working within the Merchandise division to support the maintenance and on-boarding of product master data and digital assets. This role holds the responsibility of ensuring the accuracy and quality of all product master data information across multiple merchandise systems. You will oversee all things related to the master data to ensure it is presented and depicted accurately within workflow processes.

This is a really exciting position for someone who has strong Excel skills. You will get to work in an autonomous way, coordinating with different points of data sources, and ensuring that all product master data points are accurate.

**A brief outline of your responsibilities include**:

- Loading master data to support new launches and promotions
- Maintaining and updating all master data and digital assets
- Developing and maintaining key relationships with users who create and maintain the data sources
- Develop, support and advocate for workflows and processes impacted by product master data
- Perform regular quality checks on the data, images, digital assets and collateral submitted
- Provide training where required

**What we require**:

- At least 2 years experience in a retail environment
- Intermediate to Advanced experience of Excel
- SAP (S4) Experience desirable, but not required.
- Background in working with numbers and data.
- ERP Exposure (Desirable)
- Experience in supply chain/logistics would be advantageous
