Administration role working closely with Clinical staff
- **Two positions - Permanent, full time position and Fixed term (10 months) full time position located at **Auckland City Hospital**
Auckland DHB has made a commitment to providing healthcare that is the right treatment at the right time. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with previous experience in a healthcare setting to join our team as a Patient Flow Facilitator to assist with and patient flow into, around and out of our hospital.
The successful applicant appointed to this Patient Flow Facilitator role, will be responsible for managing acute, elective, inter-district, clinic and day stay flow; forecasting bed demand based on bookings for elective surgery and plans provided by bookers and schedulers, managing the priorities provided by the production co-ordinators or Operating Room Co-ordinators. This role has strong relationships with other DHBs and private hospitals regarding transfer of patients.
This is the next step on our improvement journey to achieve efficient patient flow. We are therefore looking for a forward thinking individual who can identify potential causes of delay in the timely and safe transition of patients and initiates actions to prevent or minimise these. You will be able to ‘think outside of the box’ to optimise the use of our available resources to achieve common objectives across the services.
Sound ability in using the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel is essential, exposure or experience using other hospital information systems would be a distinct advantage.
You will be required to work 8hr duration fully rostered shifts.
