The role
We are looking for a passionate leader to manage the planning and delivery of all financial accounting, transactional processing and annual reporting and external reporting functions. You will develop and coach a high performing team, champion best practice, and manage the quality and timeliness of output.
As a member of the Finance leadership team, you will also contribute to Finance strategy, and foster a collaborative Finance team culture promoting continuous improvement and a customer service focus.
Who we're looking for
**To be successful**:
You will be CA qualified, demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge and previous experience delivering financial accounting responsibilities.
You will also display strong relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to provide robust advice and support.
Along with drive and energy, you will be passionate and proactive about best practice, and will be comfortable leading financial accounting strategy.
Public Sector experience will be viewed favourably.

**You must**:
Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
OR
Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
