The Operational Team Leader plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of protective security services and advice to the GCSB and NZSIS, as well as other government agency staff across New Zealand Intelligence Community (NZIC) sites.
You will be responsible for leadership, coordination and delivery of site security services, working with stakeholders to ensure that our people, information and assets are protected. Ensuring our Protective Security Unit are prepared and supported to respond to security incidents and/or emergency situations that may arise.
Strong leadership is vital in this role with our security team working both day and rostered shifts so you will be adept at managing remotely and ensuring that your team feel supported at all times.
As you will be liaising with staff across the NZIC we expect you to have excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly across a diverse range of stakeholders.
You will have experience in current health and safety hazard analysis, risk management techniques and operational experience in responding to security incidents and have an awareness of relevant legislation and best practice.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
