This Team Leader role is focused on supporting and leading the Ministerial Services Business Advisory Team. The team are an integral element of the ministerial services workflow and without this team supporting the work, and business groups, the overall ministerial services process within MBIE would not function.
This team holds the role as the enterprise (or system) leader within the ministerial services area, ensuring that all ministerial services items (including, Official Information Act requests, correspondence, written parliamentary questions and Ombudsman complaints) are logged, allocated and tracked accordingly, to ensure that the ministerial services system within MBIE works smoothly and efficiently.
This team also manages the proactive release work processes, ensuring the policy and processes are implemented by MBIE and appropriate advice is given.
The team hold a critical business intelligence function within MBIE, and it is expected that the Team Leader can ensure risks and issues are identified quickly, escalated and managed appropriately so that the reputational risks to MBIE are known and can be mitigated.
It is expected to be a hands-on role as well as a leadership role.

- Proven success in leading, motivating and managed a team of engaged professionals.
- A strategic approach to work, in which you make connections between various aspects of the organisation and are able to identify efficient processes and system approach across the organisation.
- A strong risk awareness and understanding of appropriately managing and escalating risks.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implement new operational delivery practices and approaches.
- An ability to focus on both strategic and operational issues.
- A demonstrated ability to form robust professional working relationships which includes collaboration and co-operation with internal and external stakeholders when developing new models and systems
