Are you an experienced Medical Receptionist looking for a dynamic opportunity in South Auckland? We have an exciting 4-month temporary position available, with the potential for extension, in a fast-paced and rewarding medical practice. If you’re passionate about healthcare, thrive in a bustling environment, and have a background in medical administration, we want to hear from you As a Medical Receptionist, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.
This is full time Monday - Friday role with hours being 8:30am - 5pm. The ideal candidiate will be willing to travel around to branches acorss Papakuara, Otahuhu, Manukau and East Tamkai.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Greeting patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanour.
- Scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating patient flow.
- Answering phone calls, addressing inquiries, and providing essential information.
- Maintaining patient records accurately and confidentially.
- Collaborating with medical staff to ensure efficient patient care.
- Handling billing and insurance-related tasks.
- Assisting with general administrative duties to keep the clinic organized.
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are vital for interacting with patients and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills to manage appointments, documents, and various tasks efficiently.
- A friendly and compassionate attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient records and administrative tasks.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle unexpected situations with poise.
- Familiarity with medical software systems and basic computer skills.
- A high level of professionalism and respect for patient privacy and confidentiality.
