**What you will do**:
In this role you will hunt out new business opportunities using local and international government and private sector tendering facilities. You will liaise closely with new and existing clients, vendors and your internal team to produce world class proposals.

Specific duties will include:

- Serving as the point of contact for proactive customer proposals and RFP responses.
- Creating and maintaining standard proposal / RFP content in accordance with company policies, customers and legal requirements.
- Maintaining a knowledge base of product and service offerings to ensure proposal content remains current and up to date.
- Continually improving the bid proposal and RFP documentation portfolio through sharing best practice and knowledge of markets/industries/customer feedback to inform and improve the template and documentation portfolio and promote best practice.
- Developing and providing input to strategic decisions relating to customer bid and RFP responses as required.
- Working collaboratively with key members of the team to obtain the information required to compile the bid proposals and RFP responses.
- Responding to clients’ and other stakeholders’ queries before, during and after the bid has been submitted.
- Engaging and assisting the Customer Success Team with contract extensions and/or renewals.

**Skills and experience we are looking for**:
To be considered for this role you will be required to demonstrate the following:

- Previous commercial experience in Bid Writing and Bid Management. 5+ years ideally.
- A Bid Management qualification - APMP or similar.
- Experience project managing the end to end Bid process.
- Be deadline, quality and excellence focussed, with an eye for detail.
- Be both diplomatic and assertive and have EQ to know which is needed and when.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with a variety of tools and technologies like Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Confluence.
- Negotiation and resolution skills, the ability to communicate with technical and non technical people, a sense of humour and a positive outlook.
- Adaptability - a willingness to pitch in where and when required in a small team.
