Auckland Transport (AT) manages the Auckland transport system. Public transport (PT) is a critical and growing component, which forms one of our key tools to develop a safer, a more accessible and equitable, and a more sustainable transport system for Auckland.

AT Metro Services are seeking a **Contracts Specialist **for our bus, train and ferry services.

This role actively supports the successful implementation and management of all PT contract agreements (contracts worth circa $600m+ per year) and administration of service contract variations Key responsibilities include producing variation cost calculations and documentation and making sure our PT operators get paid correctly and on time.

Joining a newly established Metro Contracts department, you'll be joining an agile and committed team who lead the contract management of private sector providers and delivery to specified standards of all public transport services. This role requires someone with great time management and attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex data sets.

**What are we looking for?**
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Management Studies or Business Studies
- Qualifications in Commerce (Accounting /Finance), Project Management and Contract Management are desirable
- 5 years' experience in public transport service delivery; contract management; account management; data analysis or in service delivery in an operational environment, ideally with an analytical focus
- Experience in complex data management, analysis and reconciliation
- Financial acumen
- Excellent written communication skills
- Problem solving and investigation skills
- ** Experience in use of Microsoft Office Applications**
