We at Goodwin Group are looking to recruit a warehouse supervisor for working in a chiller or cold-temperature environment.

As a Warehouse Supervisor working in a chiller or cold-temperature environment, your primary responsibility is to oversee daily warehouse operations while ensuring productivity, safety, and compliance with company policies.

**Your key responsibilities may include**:
1. Operational Management
- Oversee receiving, storing, and shipping of products within the chiller/cold storage area.
- Ensure proper stock rotation using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and system updates.
- Coordinate order fulfilment, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods.

2. Team Supervision
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff working in cold storage.
- Schedule shifts and manage team workload effectively.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

3. Quality Control and Compliance
- Ensure that all products are stored at the correct temperature to maintain quality and prevent spoilage.
- Monitor and record temperature readings regularly.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and product integrity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards (if applicable).

4. Health and Safety
- Enforce the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as insulated clothing, gloves, and boots.
- Conduct regular safety checks on equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cooling systems.
- Report and address any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents promptly.

5. Equipment and Facility Maintenance
- Ensure all cold storage equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
- Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs.
- Oversee cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to prevent contamination or accidents.

6. Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Maintain records of inbound and outbound shipments, inventory levels, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and inspections.

7. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making
- Address and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Respond to emergencies, including temperature fluctuations and equipment malfunctions

**Skills and experience required for the role**:

- Able to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to drive forklifts. Forklift license.
- Ability to think quickly
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Physical fitness
- A Clean New Zealand class one driver’s license
- Experience dealing with logistics would be considered advantageous

Minimum 30 hours per week.

Pay rate $24.00-$30.00 per hour in line with the skills you bring to the role.
