**About the opportunity**

After almost 60 years in operation this business is now one of New Zealand’s leading contract manufacturers of personal care and food products, supplying the FMCG and hospitality sectors. Their range is diverse which makes their warehousing operation very complex. If you are an experienced Warehouse Supervisor who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, juggling multiple tasks while leading a small team this could be the right role for you.

**What will you be doing?**

This is a new role established to provide greater support to the Operations Manager as the business continues to grow.

Your role will include:

- Staff management - input into hiring, performance management and staff training.
- Managing all warehouse related functions, from devanning of containers, receipting of goods, order picking and loading of trucks and containers. This is not an office job. Instead you will lead from the coalface, working alongside your team to ensure that the company meets customer expectations.
- Balancing warehouse related resourcing across the business to optimise productivity. You are able to prioritise, plan and instruct accordingly.
- Stock taking and cycle counting of finished goods.
- Continuous Improvement - Workflow optimisation and process improvement, driving quality, efficiency and standardised work.
- Coordinate repairs & maintenance for warehouse equipment (hoists etc).
- Pallet management of own, supplier and customer pallets.
- You will be trained as an MPI Accredited Person and Transitional Facility Operator.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Warehouse management experience within a high SKU and busy environment.
- Effective people management skills.
- The ability to move from hands-on shop floor support to higher management skills and decision making as required.
- Sound computer literacy.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and its impact on the business.
- Current reach and counterbalance hoist licenses are essential.
- You are a juggler with a great memory. You communicate well, and are capable of solving problems as they arise in a prompt and effective manner.
